Maybe its true that the biggest problem of my generation is that we feel useless. Having too much freedom, not knowing how to use it.
My favourite univ. teacher kept telling us that we mature much later, and responsibility is unknown term for us. There are no challenges, nor rituals of „becoming man“, he said. There havent been wars, nor major survival issues in this part of the world for some time.
Whats more, everything seems „almost fine“ and, at the same time, very wrong. But any reasonable roots of "evil" are lacking. You cannot say- it is because of religion, communists, politicians, gypsies...
It is hard to define, what exactly is wrong, maybe because that something is just missing. It is much more difficult to find what it is, and make the "add" change.
And so we feel frustrated, still desperately looking for fictional enemies, instead of creating something new.
Making up non existing problems(depressions:), just as immune system develops allergies when there are no enemies from natural sources:)
